We pretty much are resigned to using cars and trucks here. The nearest rail is 150 miles away. Nearest Bus system is 125 miles away. But, then again, I live in nowhere. :p

But even growing up in a city of 3 or 4 million, everything was so spread out that most people had to have private transportation. My commute to college and work was 31 miles, about an hour to get there. (traffic)

I wish I could come ride rails there with ya.

To be honest, even though transport is extremely widespread and accessible in London, you're better off with private transport...our rail system is absolutely awful ;)
